Catherine Stephenson
Catherine was born in the UK. When she grew up, she travelled to work in Spain teaching English for a year, and stayed forever. Now she lives with her partner, son and their two cats in Barcelona.
She is a freelance writer and translator from Spanish and Catalan into English. The Book of Friends is her first children’s book.
Away from work, you’ll find her lost in the mountains with her nose in a book or a camera round her neck.
Hiruni Kariyawasam
Hiruni is from Sri Lanka, where she lives with her family in Ambalangoda.
She is in her final year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at Moratuwa and previously attended Dharmasoka College.
She enjoys doing paintings, fine illustrations, and illustrations for children’s books in her unique style, mixing digital and watercolour techniques.
Hiruni loves to hear from readers all over the world – she is always looking for new ideas and to improve her skills.
Jenny Stephenson
Jenny is a chartered educational psychologist based in the UK, where she has worked for the local authority since 2005.
Passionate about caring for children’s social, emotional and mental health, she also works with the charity Brighter Futures which provides schools, nurseries and parent groups with specialist services to improve learning and well-being outcomes for children.
She lives in leafy Somerset with her partner and children.
