About Wooden House Books

A small press with an open door.

We make picture books that feel like home — stories about how it feels to be small in a big world, and bilingual editions that let a child live in two languages at once.

Wooden House Books started as one writer, one illustrator, and a stack of stories nobody had quite told yet. A few years later we're a small press with a real catalog — picture books, workbooks, and bilingual editions read in living rooms and classrooms around the world.

01

Stories first

Books that feel like home — built around a feeling, not a trend. We trust kids with quiet pages and big questions.

02

Two languages, one shelf

Side-by-side English and Spanish on the same spread. No flipping back, no second-class language.

03

Made for real classrooms

Workbooks and lesson guides shaped by educators we read with — not just illustrated worksheets.

Four people, one shelf.
